What we do
The Rafiki Collection works with communities across Kenya to create stylish handmade designs that capture authentic cultural practices with a western twist. We work directly with artisans to help promote ethical workmanship through local employment.

The Story
Hello, I'm Daisy, the founder of The Rafiki Collection.

My journey with Rafiki began by sharing Kenyan products like kikoy trousers with friends back home. Their enthusiastic response inspired me to launch The Rafiki Collection, a venture I initially pursued casually while at university.

After spending over 7 years exploring East Africa and working in safari sales in London, I officially relocated to northern Kenya in January 2024. This move has allowed me to work more closely with local communities, particularly the incredible Samburu women in the Namunyak Community Conservancy, with whom I now collaborate to create unique beaded jewelry.
This project is deeply meaningful to me, as 10% of the profits from these creations are reinvested to support the Samburu women and their communities.

Northern Kenya has truly captivated me with its vibrant culture and exceptional craftsmanship. Your support and interest in my journey are greatly appreciated, and I hope you find joy in our handcrafted pieces.

Thank you for being a part of The Rafiki Collection’s story.
